Snow Day

“It hasn’t snowed like this in 18 years!”, as I pondered that statement I realised that it was about 18 years ago when I moved to the UK. I was just in time for the snow-fall back then too, which was only an inch or so thicker than this :D
As much as I would have loved to take some pictures, I had loaned my camera to my sister the week before and she hadn’t returned it yet. So I asked her to shoot some photos on my behalf. Let’s take a trip into my parents snow-covered back garden shall we?
Apparently Yoda was loving the snow. Mum said he was doing back flips and trying to catch the flakes as they fell XD
That same day, Faye and I were up from 5am to head out to Heathrow Airport to meet her parents who were visiting from abroad.
The buses were out of commission that whole day, unbeknownst to us as we stood waiting at the bus stop for 10 minutes. But after a while, we figured it’d be best to walk it rather than wait, as we saw how slowly the cars were driving on the streets, out of fear of sliding off the road if they went too fast. We were heading for the train station, a good 45 minutes away on foot. The morning was still dark and the streets were practically empty. It was rather serene. The snow covered pavements under the orange glow of the street lamps were gorgeous to walk through. It was all rather lovely :)
Oh, and we threw snow at each other, cos you know, it’s like a Law or something. You have to throw snow at each other or you go to Jail!! X)
